Sugar Rush is a show that aired on Channel Four, a United Kingdom's TV station targeted at teenagers. This is the station that aired the original Skins and the show Misfits, all which re-present teenage life in the U.K. The pilot episode of Sugar Rush aired in 2005 and the show ran for 2 seasons and was awarded an Emmy before being cancelled in 2007.

Definitely speaks to the Straightness and the Male-Dominant aspects. This certainly "Breaks the Glass" as Dr. Bogad would say. It also makes some of the American Television seem rather tame in comparison. What do you think?

ReplyDeleteIt shows the girl who is attracted to another girl trying to be straight that way she can really find out if she is gay or not.
They are clearly not afraid to show same-sex relationships.
I agree with Ron. Makes US TV seem kinda lame.
It def. breaks the glass- I think it is a good thing though that they show same sex relationships. It breaks us out of this stereotypical mold that is so often portrayed in US popular t.v. shows.
